    A New Collection

When I was a kid, I had many collections. I collected stamps (I actually just recently found my stamp collecting book amid a bunch of old stuff). I collected shells. I collected pretty rocks. I collected foreign currency. As I moved into my teen years I collected posters of Duran Duran for my bedroom walls, poor study habits, and bad attitudes. As an adult I collected postcards through Postcrossing, which I’d like to go back to if it weren’t for the outrageous cost of stamps these days. Cheers to Not Having a Brain Tumor

So I’ve had a lot of weird stuff going on in my head the past few months. I’ve had this stabbing pain in one specific spot. It started as intermittent but a couple of weeks ago is was all but constant, and that combined with a bunch of other strange stuff resulted in a trip to the doctor which ended with me getting a referral for a CT scan. In other words… It really used to bother me, being only in my early thirties when I started to lose my hair. This pic is of me and Boy #1 about twenty or so years ago. You can already see it start to thin at this point. I’ve tried so many different styles to try to camouflage the thinning parts, but I think the battle is lost at this point. I went through a wig phase a few years…

    Curvy Yoga Studio

I’ve always loved the idea of yoga. I wanted to try it, but as an oversized person I was always hesitant. I went to one class at the local YMCA several years ago, and while I did mostly enjoy it, it was a little above my ability level. I also felt very uncomfortable, as I was by far the largest person there. Everyone seemed welcoming and accepting, but my anxiety brain had already determined that everyone was judging me for my body size. I never went back. Then last year a friend of mine was teaching a small class, and the others in the class were also friends of mine,…
