Dear Virginia,

Well here I am, way down in Miss. and right in my glory. This is certainly a wonderful place. Our air-base is practically a city in itself. I would dare say it is larger than the city of Oswego. There is no need to go off the post for anything. We have all our hangars, schools, stores, restaurants, beir gardens, dance halls, bowling alleys, ball park, and theaters right here. There are approximately 75000 men here and quite a few women. But they don’t bother me any. I get a kick out of listening to the southern drawl these boys have. The(y) are certainlly amusing. There is only one thing that I miss and that is my parents and you. If I could see my parents once in a while and have you here with me everything would be swell. I miss you a lot, but otherwise I am perfectly satisfied. How is your Mother and Father? Say hello to them for me. I will send that picture just as soon as I can get a frame for it. They don’t have any in the stores at the present time. Well, I guess there isn’t much of anything else to say. We started Fri. 1:30 P.M. and got here at 8:00 A.M. Sun. This morning. Don’t forget to write to me if you love me. Be seeing you.

All my love,
Harry
